This course introduces and presents the basics of Measurement and Analysis in software
engineering. This seminar is based on proven techniques for Measurement and Analysis, like GQM and the M&A process area of the CMMI. In addition it provides understanding of measurement and process as concepts.

Practical tips are given to consider when starting your own program. During this 1 day practical seminar the participants will learn the basics and the importance of measurement and analysis.

Speaker

Paul Siemons, a physicist by training, has over 30 years of experience with software engineering, the last 10 years as process improvement manager and consultant focusing on measurement & analysis and on the related field of estimation. During these years he has acquired experience with metrics on all levels of maturity.

He has gained respect in the measurement and analysis field. He has contributed to international conferences as speaker and organizer. He is collaborating with the University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands on the subject of metrics and has contributed to scientific publications and books.
