
i. CobiT - The Implementation
IT Governance is becoming an evident word in the relation IT has with the Business. If you have already a good knowledge of CobiT, this training will give you all you need to implement CobiT (v4.1) in your organization.
Description
The objective of this training is to provide practical guidance in the development of IT processes, making use of all components of the CobiT Framework.
We will explain in detail the link between IT Governance and CobiT, with a focus on how CobiT can help to implement IT Governance in your organization.
Based on the interests and focus of the participants, we will select 2 processes to develop in detail. The participants of the training will work in teams on the development of these IT processes and learn how to select the most relevant items of the different components for their organisation and the objectives set by IT or Business Management.
Objectives
Participants completing this training will be able to:
• Understand the different components of the CobiT Framework
• Make use of these components, for the development of their IT processes
• Make the link from the Business Goals to IT Goals to set priorities

All persons involved in the implementation of IT processes, making use of CobiT. This includes:
• Strategy Planners, Auditors, Quality Managers, Risk Managers
• Top Executives and Managers (Business, IT and Facilities)
• Program, Portfolio or Project Managers, Change Managers
• Green IT Ambassadors, IT governance consultants
• Human Resources Managers

The training contains the following topics:
• Overview of all the components of the CobiT framework
• The link to IT Governance & Business objectives
• Explanation of the components of CobiT
• Detailed explanation of 2 CobiT processes, with reference to the Control Practices
• Workshop to develop 2 CobiT processes

The training material provided includes all presentation materials, notes and additional handouts and labels, with the contents of CobiT.
Speaker
Greet Volders is Partner & Managing Consultant at Voquals and is specialized in CobiT, IT Governance and the development of (controls on) IT processes. Voquals was one of the pioneers in Belgium to provide CobiT trainings and to give advice in IT Governance, which has grown to one of the core businesses of Voquals. In addition, Voquals is also specialized in the optimization of internal processes conform to SOX and CMM.
Since 2002, Greet has been an active member in several development teams for CobiT and was part of the team who created CobiT Quickstart. In 2004, Greet became an accredited trainer for CobiT.
