Reliable processes are essential to professional software development, maintenance and support. Too many projects are behind schedule, exceed budget and don’t meet user expectation, mostly because the processes are not adequate.

Successful implementation of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integrated) has been proven to be effective in improving cost, productivity, time to market and quality.

This course introduces the basic of Process Improvement and can be followed by Introduction to CMMI v1.2. -SEI Authorized Course-.

Description

This one-day practical seminar introduces participants to the CMMI model and the fundamental concepts of both the staged and continuous representations of the model. 

This seminar will explain how to efficiently implement and deploy a Process Improvement program into an Organization.

Course material

The course material provided includes all presentation materials, notes and additional handouts. In-class exercises are proposed to allow a better understanding of the matters.


Speaker

Patrick Tomezak is an experienced IT professional and CMMI lead assessor. He has gathered more than 20 years of eclectic experience in IT world (software engineer, tester, analyst, project manager, quality officer). Patrick had the opportunity to sustain process improvement initiatives within public and private companies of variable size in Belgium and abroad. Diverse missions allowed him to provide support to prepare process improvement roadmap, to set up quality assurance mechanism, to train and coach auditors, to define and analyse key performance indicators.

He is currently implementing, in 5 companies in Tunisia, a joined ISO-CMMI based
quality system.
